Home Working for my design and illustration clients is sort of like... well... my day job. I'm equally passionate about my personal projects that have evolved over the past few decades. And it's a blast when clients team up with me on my moonlighting gigs, shown below.

  • The Scribbles Institute

  • A number of years ago, I rolled up my sleeves, learned basic HTML (a major left-brain challenge!) and put together the Scribbles Institute Web site. I started the Scribbles Institute to help students, parents, and teachers learn about drawing and visual art. With help from my favorite test pilots, I continue to create and produce the Scribbles product mix. I'm very excited about future publishing and media products in development. >

  • DoodleZine

  • I started DoodleZine, the magazine for young artists, to help children realize their innate drawing abilities, develop confident drawing skills, and to transfer their drawing skills to academic and everyday life. >
  • Synaptic Traffic

  • Synaptic Traffic is my art journal. It features sketches and notes about drawing and other random topics of interest. The Web site is currently in development. >
  • Fluid Lines
  • When I was in high school I made skateboards and surfboards in my garage. Fluid Lines was the name on each handmade product. Today, Fluid Lines is being developed as a zine about art and culture in motion. The Web site is under construction. >

  • Northwest Skateboarder

  • During the late 70s I moved from Southern California to Seattle. At the age of 19, while living in the Northwest, I helped design skateboard parks and organize contests. I started a tabloid-sized publication called Northwest Skateboarder and began my career as graphic designer/ illustrator. I'll be strolling down memory lane with friends from that era. The Web site is under construction. >
